So after a long drive or flight for some of the Core Team, we have all arrived home safely after the clear-up on saturday and Sunday morning.
Most of us arrived home at about 11pm last night after catching an earlier ferry from Calais. It was great to have a good nights sleep in our own beds... :-)
It's now time for us to sort this out this end and wrap everything-up and look forward to a County trip in 2012....?
Cheers

Good afternoon everyone...
Just an update to let you know that the coaches have just left Kandersteg for their journey home.
We woke this morning to a misty and chilly campsite but all where 'Beavering' around to pack up their sites.
Many are very tired and will use the coach journey to catch-up on their sleep, all have said that they have had a great week and we, the Core team, will be here until tomorrow morning before we leave.
It is anticipated that the coaches should arrive in Guidford at 6am tomorrow... don't forget to set you alarms...!
This will be the last blog entry from Kandersteg from me, we hope you will still enjoy the pictures which I will continue to upload over the next few days.
S0, they have left and are on their way home... thank you for reading the blogs and the very complimentary comments.

Its turned out to me a really nice afternoon here, the sun has been out and all the units are now returning to the Tower for their last night here.
I was in kandersteg town this afternoon and saw a number of units buying gifts to take home, I'm sure some of you will be lucky...
To Andrea... we miss you very much. Come back to Surrey soon. :-)
Our next update will be tomorrow when we will let you know that all the groups have set off home. If you get a chance, view the KISC webcam just after 12pm when you'll see a field of red shirts just before they get on their buses... View the webcam here
Ciao...

Hello happy campers... where have we been?
Well, we have had internet connection problems again, the systems that we have been working on was turned off and nobody told us... Two and a half days of no connevtion to be finally told this morning that the router has been turned off, packed in a box and stored while the KISC refurbishment take place... anyway we're back...
So what have we been upto, very much the same as other days here. Hiking, rafting, shopping, eating and sleeping...!
the weather is generally good with a little bit of rain dropped in here and there. This morning the sun is out and its quite warm but all the mountain tops are visable.
We think some of the groups are looking forward to going home but others want to continue on... I can tell you that the Core team are tired and looking forward to there beds at home.
We are looking forward to our camp fire tonight with other groups from other countries...
All the groups/units have been really good and everyone is very complimentary of our Surrey Scouts and Explorers.
Tomorrow will see the four coaches leave us here at Kandersteg at about 12.45pm starting their journey's home.
We will update the blog as soon as they have left. the Core Team will remain on site until Sunday am when they will set-off having cleared up.

Good morning everyone,
Newsletter number 11 available, click here.
The weather here is a little misty this morning with all the mountains covered with cloud butthat won't stop our intrepid 'explorers'! Let's hope it clears up this afternoon?
The camp site is now quiet after another successful breakfast serving by our marvellous catering team.
No matter how damp it is, how cold or warm it might be, the enthusiasm of the Scouts for adventure has be magnificent... these guys are having a great time and we are sure that many of them will come back to Switzerland again in the future.
Take a look at our picture gallery, click here to get a little insite to what the Scouts are up to...
That's all for now..,

Good morning all from a very soggy Kandersteg...
Newslettet 10 has been uploaded, please click here to view.
As you can guess, we've had a VERY wet night here in Switzerland and there is currently a low cloud over the site. We awoke at 6am (5am UK time) it was hammering down. We then found that we have had leaks in some tentage which is now being dealt with. However, despite the bad night we have had happy campers this morning :-) Breakfast was interesting as we had to serve 250 persons inside the Tower rather than outside, for those of you who know the size of the Towers's hall, you will know how difficult that can be...
Anyway, the site is now quite as we are in the final week of Kanderstegs season. If you can see the webcam here, you will note that some new modular buildings have arrived as the Chalet is getting a re-fit.
OK, that's all for know, will hopefully update later today...
